Intuit has announced that it will no longer sell new subscriptions of certain QuickBooks Desktop products in the US starting October 1, 2024. This means that if you're looking to purchase a new subscription to QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus, Mac Plus, or Enhanced Payroll, you'll need to do so before September 30th.
What doesn't change:
- Existing
customers can continue to renew their subscriptions: If you already
have a subscription to one of these products, you can continue to renew it
after September 30th.
- QuickBooks
Enterprise subscriptions will remain available: All QuickBooks
Enterprise subscriptions (Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond) will
continue to be available for purchase for new subscribers after September
30th.
What you can do:
- Upgrade
to QuickBooks Enterprise: If you're looking for a more customizable
and powerful solution, QuickBooks Enterprise can be tailored to your
specific business needs.
- Switch
to QuickBooks Online: If you prefer a cloud-based solution, QuickBooks
Online offers flexibility and accessibility from anywhere.
- Purchase
Enhanced Payroll before September 30th: If you need payroll services,
consider purchasing a QuickBooks Enhanced Payroll subscription before
September 30th or upgrading to QuickBooks Enterprise Gold, Platinum, or
Diamond.
- Update
your software: Ensure you're running the latest version of QuickBooks
Desktop for optimal performance and security.
While Intuit is phasing out the sale of new subscriptions for certain
QuickBooks Desktop products, existing customers can continue to renew their
subscriptions and utilize the software. If you're looking for a new solution or
need to upgrade, QuickBooks Enterprise and QuickBooks Online offer viable
alternatives.
